The technology that I would suggest to use in this lesson would be blogger. I recently had a workshop on google classroom. Its very similar to blogger, but I feel it is easier to use as far as assignments to be handed in and graded to be handed back.
I really like your lesson plan. It's really encourages cooperative learning. Students learn so much from one another when are in discussion groups. Great lesson plan.
